Atauro Island - Timor Leste

Atauro is a small island off the coast of Timor Leste, opposite Dili.

The little huts we stayed in really take you back to nature - no electricity, no hot water and only bucket showers. Atauro is the kind of place that makes you stop, breathe and contemplate.

The people here are so happy, constantly singing while they're out walking through the streets or in their fishing boats in the middle of the night.

If you ever need some time out to find out what's really important you I recommend going to Atauro.

As of the 21st of August I have quit my job, bought a one way ticket and started my journey of self discovery.
